Synopsis

„My former fiancée took advantage of my bad situation and said: ´If you don’t marry me, you have to go to the refugee camp.“ This is a story about love after 47 years of “marriage camp”. In the small room of their apartment in Kassel, Peter and Margit Hinz created a huge world for themselves, where they build on their happiness every day, which is not only joy, but also hard work. They stayed together trying to survive tough German history. Neither bitter memories about bombs over Berlin, nor a concrete wall could weaken this people and separate them. In front of the camera, without fearing their own emotions, they open the secret of their love, which can only exist, when one feels lust for life and is able to value, what he has got.
